Welcome Message

2015 promises to be a booming year for Myanmar’s offshore upstream industry, when high activities in offshore sector are expected!

We invite you to join us for 3rd Annual Southeast Asia Offshore Summit Myanmar 2015 (MOSCE Myanmar 2015), Sep. 10-12, Sule Shangri-La, Myanmar. The first 2013 conference on August 28 & 29 was a big success, gathering 182 attendees and being supported by 11 sponsors. The theme of 2015 event is: Meeting the After-Tender Challenges for Myanmar's Offshore Exploration & Production.

In April last year, Ministry of Energy and Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise (MOGE) announced Myanmar Offshore Blocks Bidding Round - 2013, offering 30 offshore blocks for bidding with 11 shallow water and 19 deepwater blocks. This bidding round attracted huge interest from the international players and investors. It is reported that out of the 61 pre-qualified international oil and gas firms, 30 submitted formal proposals. It took nearly a year for the government to conduct full analyses of the bids, and the final list of winners for 20 offshore blocks both shallow and deep was uncovered on the MOE website on April 7th 2015. The next step is PSC contracts signing between the winners and MOE.

“We are going to have detailed discussions with winning candidates for production sharing contracts,” said U Pe Zin Tun, Director General of the Energy Planning Department (EPD) under the Ministry of Energy. “Hopefully the contracts will be signed within the next three months.” The contracts could earn MOGE a total of $226.1 million in signing bonuses alone, the highest suck lump bonus in Myanmar’s recorded history, U Pe Zin Tun said.

MOSCE Myanmar 2015 is a timely event when production sharing contracts will be just signed and future development plans will be discussed. Featured speakers and VIP guests invited from government officials, NOCs & IOCs, and winners of the offshore bidding round are: Ministry of Energy, Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise, Shell, Reliance, Woodside, BG, ROC Oil, Total, Eni, Statoil, Conocophillips, PVEP, Petronas, CNOOC, etc.

Unlike other offshore events in the country, MOSCE Myanmar 2015 is one of very few conferences to focus not only on macro view of the offshore upstream industry but also on the game changing technologies in offshore exploration & production.

We expect that 30+ industry leaders and 200+ senior executives will join this high profile event. We are confident that MOSCE Myanmar 2015 will offer service companies first mover advantage to enter the Myanmar offshore upstream business. You can NOT afford to miss it!

We look forward to meeting you there!
